De-Addiction Treatment


Treatment for alcohol and drug addiction is delivered in many different settings using a variety of behavioral and medical approaches like providing counseling, behavioral therapy, medication, and other types of services to persons with substance use disorders.

Detoxification and Medically Managed Withdrawal

Detoxification is the process by which the body gets cleared of alcohol or drugs and is often accompanied by unpleasant or fatal side effects caused by withdrawal. Detoxification alone does not deal with psychological, social, and behavioral problem associated with addiction and therefore does not produce permanent behavioral changes necessary for recovery from addiction. The process of detoxification is managed with medications in an inpatient or outpatient setting, it is referred to as “medically managed withdrawal.”

Residential Treatment

The residential treatment model consists of a 6-12 week rehab based inpatient treatment followed by outpatient therapy and participation in a self-help group, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, it is important for patient to stay in outpatient treatment programs or aftercare programs for continuous recovery. Long-term residential treatment offer 24 hours care. Treatment is highly structured with activities to help patients introspect his damaging beliefs, destructive behavior and helps to adopt new behaviors to lead a drug or alcohol free life.

Individualized Counseling

Individualized substance counseling not only targets substance or alcohol use .It also addresses related issues like employment status, family/social relationships and patient’s after recovery program

Group Counseling

Group therapy is used for social reinforcement offered by peer discussion and to helps promote drug free lifestyles.

Behavioral Therapies

Behavioral treatments help patients in treatment for addiction, by providing incentives to them to remain abstinent, change their attitude and behavior towards substance, and enhance their life skills to handle stressful situations that may trigger craving for substances and prompt compulsive abuse.

12-Step Therapy

Twelve-step therapy is designed so the person becomes actively involved in 12-step self-help groups and promotes abstinence.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy targets family members who are important in patients recovery. Building communication between family members, Normalizing relationship, helping family to understand addiction as a disease, role of continuous monitoring and after care are some points which are emphasized.
